CSMU Global | Chung Shan Medical University Achieves Full Enrollment for the 2025–2026 Academic Year, Gaining Recognition for Integrating AI Medicine and Medical Humanities
The 2025–2026 university admission results have been released, and Chung Shan Medical University (CSMU) in Taichung has once again achieved full enrollment across all departments with zero vacancies. This outcome highlights the university’s solid performance in professional education, clinical training, interdisciplinary learning, and institutional development—earning the trust and recognition of both students and parents.
In recent years, CSMU has actively responded to the rise of AI and the challenges of a rapidly aging society by advancing its vision of “digital empowerment.” From compulsory courses in programming and basic statistics for freshmen, to health big data micro-courses, AR/VR immersive teaching, and cross-disciplinary innovation and entrepreneurship projects, the university equips students with strong skills in data analysis, clinical application, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
CSMU has also established a Digital Dentistry Simulation and Teaching Center and a Smart Healthcare Research Center, promoting research in AI-assisted diagnostics, infection control, and early warning systems. The College of Health Care Management applies AI in food innovation and geriatric care, integrating tools such as Power BI, Azure, and ChatGPT to enhance students’ practical and applied competencies.
Beyond professional training, CSMU remains committed to medical humanities and social responsibility. Faculty and students have long served local communities through rural free clinics, home dental care, health screenings, and education. The university has also embedded the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into governance and curriculum. In the THE Impact Rankings, CSMU ranked among the nation’s top six for SDG3 (Good Health & Well-being) and SDG5 (Gender Equality). Its university social responsibility (USR) initiatives have also been recognized with Asia-Pacific and Taiwan Sustainability Action Awards.
CSMU’s clinical training outcomes and national examination performance are equally outstanding. The passing rates for physicians, dentists, dietitians, and radiological technologists all exceed the national average, while speech-language pathologists and clinical psychologists achieved a 100% pass rate.
Provost Dr. Yuan-Yen Chang emphasized that CSMU will continue to integrate medical education with smart technologies, expand interdisciplinary collaboration and international exchanges, and ensure students graduate with not only solid professional competence but also a global perspective and social commitment. By doing so, CSMU aims to bring innovative energy to healthcare and related industries, continually responding to societal and industry needs.
